I’m Vladan Nikolić. Welcome to Guitar Dawn. What you see on your screen right now is a blog born out of my immense love for this stringed instrument, music, writing, history, trivia, deep dives, and the incredible energy that ties it all together.
My actual introduction to the world of guitar-driven sound goes back to a single moment when I was barely seven years old. My brothers and I got a Metallica concert on VHS. At the time, I couldn’t understand a single word of English, but I definitely felt the massive surge of energy. That was the spark that drew me in.
In fact, I wouldn’t call that just an introduction—it felt more like a calling. The real journey began less than a decade later when I picked up my very first guitar and started taking lessons. At that moment, all the guitar gods were right there with me (and they still are). I soaked up their artistry, pushed myself to get better, and tried to get just a little bit closer to their greatness. I went through the blistered fingers, the cuts, the self-doubt, the ups and downs—and every single bit of it was worth it. The guitar is the kind of instrument that brings something new every single day. Every time I discover a new piece of trivia or learn a new riff, I realize it’s just a drop in an ocean of knowledge.
What I’m bringing to you on this blog is a mix of my daily growing experience and hours upon hours of research, all woven into honest articles completely free from outside influence. It might get a bit subjective at times, but I hope you’ll find it engaging and helpful for whatever you’re looking for. So, lean back and enjoy the ride.
